 Weekly Reflection

“ATTENTION – The Votes are In – Special Presentation for Parents!!!!” – I want to ask all of you – parents and teachers – to mark Thursday, February 18, on your calendar.  Please plan to attend the following meeting at in the library .  There is a Special Workshop entitled “Discovering Your Child’s Learning Style” presented by a workshop leader from the Black Alliance for Educational Opportunity (BAEO).  This workshop was the most requested by those responding to my request for feedback a few weeks ago.  This workshop will help you learn to identify the three types of basic learning styles – visual, auditory and kinesthetic – and how to recognize ways in which you can become skilled in helping your child or students learn in their primary learning style, not yours!

Also, the BAEO will be hosting a meeting at the Springfield Main Library on March 10 at to discuss the Ed Choice Voucher program.  Please ask your friends that live in the following districts that are eligible for Ed Choice Vouchers to attend this meeting and to consider sending their children to ECA.  The eligible districts are: Fulton Elementary, Keifer Center , Kenwood Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, Schaefer Middle School , Simon Kenton Elementary, Snyder Park Elementary and Warder Park-Wayne Elementary.

The single greatest factor for new students to attend ECA is a word-of-mouth recommendation.  Personal testimony has a FAR GREATER effect than radio, newspaper or any other type of advertising.  We do not want ECA to be a secret!!  Tell others the good news of your school – ECA is you!!  Please reenroll and encourage others to join you…thank you J J
