CURRENT COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

UPDATED AS OF 1/4/2022

We wanted to update you on the latest COVID protocols as they relate to testing positive or being exposed to someone testing positive for COVID.

MASK TO STAY/TEST TO PLAY

At this time, the Mask to Stay/Test to play is still in effect for in-school exposure/athletics with one change noted:

Mask to Stay/Test to Play now is a mandatory 10-day masking requirement, with our athletes only required to test on initial notification of exposure. There is no longer an option to test out of masking early with a negative test.

THE FOLLOWING PROTOCOLS ARE FOR EXPOSURE OUTSIDE OF THE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT ONLY:

If your student has tested positive for COVID-19:

  1. Regardless of vaccination status, he/she will need to isolate and remain at home for five full days following symptom onset.

  2. On the morning of Day 6:

    • If he/she is fever free AND symptoms are improving, the student may return to school and extracurricular activities, but must wear a mask for five additional days.

    • If he/she has a fever over 100° F OR symptoms have not improved, the student should remain at home until they are fever free for 24 hours AND symptoms are improving.

  3. Please notify the school as soon as possible if your student were to test positive.

If your student was exposed to COVID-19 and is fully vaccinated:

  1. Your child must wear a mask for 10 days after their last exposure, but may remain in the school setting and participate in extracurricular activities.

  2. It is recommended that you test your student on day five, but it is not required at this time.

  3. If your child develops symptoms and/or receives a positive test, he/she must remain at home for five full days from the onset of symptoms.

  4. On the morning of Day 6:

    • If the student is fever free for 24 hours AND his/her symptoms have improved, they can return to school and extracurricular activities, but must wear a mask for an additional five days.

    • If your student has a fever OR symptoms are not improving, they must continue to remain at home until they are fever free for 24 hours AND symptoms have improved.

If your student was exposed to COVID-19 and is unvaccinated or vaccine is not up to date:

  1. Your child must remain home for the first five full days following the last exposure.

  2. It is recommended that your student test on Day 5, but it is not required at this time.

  3. If your child is asymptomatic, he/she may resume in-person learning and extracurricular activities on Day 6, but must wear a mask for five additional days.

  4. If at any time your student develops symptoms, they will need to remain at home and test for COVID 24 hours after symptom onset.

  5. If your child has developed symptoms and/or receives a positive test, he/she must remain at home for five full days from the onset of symptoms.

  6. On the morning of Day 6:

    • If the student is fever free for 24 hours AND his/her symptoms have improved ,they can return to school and extracurricular activities, but must wear a mask for an additional five days.

    • If your student has a fever OR symptoms are not improving, they must continue to remain at home until they are fever free for 24 hours AND symptoms have improved.
