The county continues to see an uptick in the number of positive COVID-19 cases. We are not aware that Emmanuel is being affected to a larger degree across the elementary and secondary levels. Our goal remains to provide the best environment for our teachers and for our students.

Because of the information that we have received over the past 24 hours, we are making the decision for the following:

Our administration and teachers have taken some additional time to collaborate and discuss issues and concerns with the upcoming Thanksgiving break, as well as continue to be mindful of the COVID-19 crisis and how we should appropriately respond. There have been some insightful conversations and concerns that have been presented.

I’m sure you have received the One Call reminding you of our Remote Practice Day on Monday, November 9th. The goal is to practice and iron out problems in the events that we would have to go temporarily remote at some point.

It is hard to believe that we are reaching the end of October. Although we have had to work through many challenges, we are pleased with how the school year is going to date. Our teachers and staff continue to work hard through every obstacle that has been placed in front of them. We know that you, as parents, have had obstacles as well.
