What do I do with my Chromebook over summer break?
Grades TK through 11 will keep their Chromebooks at home throughout the summer. Seniors turn in theirs as a prerequisite before graduating. Chromebooks are to return with the student fully charged and operational for the first day of school.
- Remember that Emmanuel’s “Computer & Internet Acceptable Use Policy” found in the Student Handbook is to be followed regardless of where the device is located. 
- Students and families are responsible for the general care of the Chromebook they have been issued by the school. 
- Students should never leave their Chromebooks unattended unless properly secured. 
- All Chromebooks are the tagged property of Emmanuel Christian Academy and as such may be inspected upon request. 
WHAT ARE THE STEPS FOR SUPPORT IF I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY CHROMEBOOK AT HOME?
- Send a message to itsupport@ecaoh.com. Enter brief description on the issue and contact information. You receive a repsonse within 24-48 hours, Monday to Friday during normal school hours. 
WHAT IF I ACCIDENTALLY BREAK OR DESTROY MY CHROMEBOOK?
- Accidental breakage or destruction of a Chromebook will be covered one-time. All subsequent losses will be the student’s responsibility to pay for the repair or replacement. Only one charger will be provided…subsquent chargers are the family’s responsibility. 
WHAT IF I LOSE MY PASSWORD OR WANT TO RESET IT?
- TK-4th - Check with your homeroom teacher. 
- 5th-12th - Students have the ability to reset their own password through their Gmail account (click the picture icon). 
- Students who forget their password can click the “Forgot Password” link when logging into the Chromebook and follow the instructions. 
WHAT IF I NEED TO SET UP A PRINTER?
- Make sure your printer is connected to your home network via WIFI or Ethernet cable. 
- At the bottom right, select the time. 
- Select Settings. 
- At the bottom, select Advanced. 
- Under "Printing," select Printers. 
- Under "Available printers to save," next to your printer, select Save. 
- Check that your printer appears at the top, under "Saved printers." 
WHAT IF I NEED TO CONTACT EMMANUEL’S IT SUPPORT ENGINEER FOR SOMETHING UNRELATED TO CHROMEBOOKS?
