ECA ANNUAL THEME
Each year, Emmanuel Christian Academy selects an annual theme, seeking to identify a biblical concept that would have substantial breadth and depth for a year-long focus.
2026-2027 Theme Announced!
2026-2027 Deeper Dive:
ABIDE calls students to an active, daily relationship with Jesus rooted in John 15. Rather than striving through performance, students are challenged to remain connected to Christ, allowing Him to shape their identity, habits, and decisions.
Through anchoring life in Christ, building intentional spiritual routines, inviting God into real-life moments, demonstrating visible spiritual fruit, and encouraging others, students learn that lasting growth, character, and purpose flow from abiding in Jesus together as a community.
A.B.I.D.E.
A — Anchor Your Life in Christ. When life feels unstable—academics, friendships, identity—Jesus is our anchor. Students are encouraged to root their identity in Christ rather than performance or approval.
B — Build Daily Routines. Spiritual growth does not happen accidentally. Students are challenged to build consistent habits of prayer, Scripture reading, and reflection, even when motivation is low.
I — Invite God Into Real Life. Abiding is not limited to chapel or Bible class. Students are called to invite God into stress, anxiety, temptation, relationships, and decision-making—choosing dependence over self-reliance.
D — Demonstrate Fruit. Faith becomes visible through action. When students abide in Christ, fruit appears in their lives: love, integrity, perseverance, humility, and self-control (Galatians 5:22–23).
E — Encourage and Influence Others. Abiding is both personal and communal. Students are encouraged to use their influence to build others up, stand for truth, and positively shape the school culture through Christlike examples.
2025-2026 Deeper Dive:
Exhibit Kindness
Deliberately cultivating virtues in our daily lives, much like choosing clothes to wear. This is a call to reflect God's character in our interactions with others and practicing ways to express kindness.
“Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.” Colossians 3:12
Choose Servant Leadership
Choose servant leadership over all the other leadership models. It emphasizes that true greatness and leadership within the Christian community lie in serving others, rather than being served.
“But whoever wants to become prominent among you shall be your servant, and whoever desires to be first among you shall be your slave; just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:26-28
Always Show Grit
Encourages consistent perseverance and passion for long-term goals, even in the face of adversity. Grit is the ability to maintain focus and determination, pushing through challenges to achieve success. It's about demonstrating strength of character and resilience in the face of setbacks.
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
2024-2025 DEEPER DIVE
Pursue God in all things, not just when you are at church or school or when you pray or read your Bible. Jesus wants to be with you in every single aspect of your life no matter how big or how small.
