Get ready - the elementary chapel on May 1st is going to be something special!
We’re excited to welcome Patty Rose & Banner, a therapy dog team from Best Friends Pet Assisted Therapy. This incredible local nonprofit brings trained therapy dogs into schools, libraries, and community spaces to share comfort, encouragement, and joy; and now they’re coming to our chapel!
Patty isn’t just a guest; she’s part of the ECA family! She served as a third-grade teacher here from 2002–2008 and has spent her life helping kids learn and grow. She has worked as a children’s pastor, guiding kids in their faith and helping them understand God’s love. Patty earned a Master of Arts in Children’s and Family Ministry from Bethel Seminary and has helped train and encourage children’s pastors through her work with the International Network of Children’s Ministry.
Now, Patty teams up with Banner to encourage children in a whole new way. Together, they show how God can use what we are good at to help others. Their chapel message, “Finding Your Purpose,” will help us think about how God is working in our lives.
And the excitement doesn’t stop there! After chapel, additional therapy dog teams will be visiting elementary classrooms through around noon.
