Dear ECA Students,
I enjoy sending emails to students to encourage you along your journey to a successful future. I will often include quotes from the Bible and others by inspirational leaders (often John C. Maxwell) that I hope you read and enjoy them!
This year, our theme is ABIDE. The word ABIDE is defined as "to accept, obey, or act in accordance with a decision, rule, or promise." Here at ECA, we hope you learn and continue to ABIDE in the rules, guidelines, and decisions of the staff. However, we desire for you to see the value in that while you ABIDE in our Lord, Jesus Christ. Abiding in Him means we remain connected, dependent, and obedient!
How to Practically ABIDE:
Spend Time in the Word: Let the teachings of Jesus shape how you think and act.
Pray Continually: Communicate your needs and anxieties to Jesus throughout the day.
Rest in Grace: Understand that abiding is about resting in His finished work, not checking off religious duties.
Try to demonstrate what a student who is working to ABIDE and Achieve looks like today and everyday!
