What an incredible day for our ECA Family!
Wednesday morning began at The Gathering’s Fall Breakfast, where ECA founding board members and school leadership joined a packed house for a morning of worship, fellowship, and encouragement featuring Josh Havens, lead singer of the Christian band, The Afters.
One of the morning’s most meaningful moments came when ECA Class of 2025 alumnus, Justus “Gus” Carrier took the stage to share his testimony about the impact of The Gathering and its Locker Room mentorship ministry.
We’re especially proud of Gus, who continues to grow in his faith while balancing work and college. And we love that our own Head of School, Mr. Chris James, is amount the men investing in Gus’s life as one of his Locker Room mentors!
But the day wasn’t over YET!
Following the breakfast, Josh Havens made a special visit here to ECA, and our 7th - 12th grade students gave him quite the welcome!
From familiar songs and inspiring stories to students jumping to their feet, singing along, and even joining Josh on stage (check out the video below!), the energy was contagious! Josh graciously spent time afterward visiting with students and signing autographs, making an already memorable afternoon even more special.
What a beautiful reminder that investing in the next generation doesn’t end at graduation! Whether its through Christian education, mentorship, or moments of worship and encouragement, we’re so grateful for those who continue pouring into the lives of young people.
We want to issue a heartfelt THANK YOU to The Gathering, Executive Director Jeff Pinkleton, and Josh Havens for making this special day possible. We’re grateful for your partnership and the impact you’re making in our community!
