There’s something especially sweet about watching children share their school day with the people who love them most. This morning, we welcomed grandparents and special guests for a memorable morning of faith, family, fellowship and FUN during our annual Elementary Grandparents Day!
Our kindergarten through sixth grade students were happy to share to glimpse of life at their school with their grandparents and special guests. This morning’s activities included a special chapel service, followed by games, crafts, reading together, delicious snacks and some fun recess time on the playground!
A Little Coffee, a Little Sweetness, and a Lot of Generosity!
Adding an extra touch of warmth to the celebration was the Coffee Expressions coffee truck, offering a delicious treat for our grandparents, faculty, and staff. We are especially grateful to ECA parent and local Realtor Jeannie Fudge, whose generous $1,000 donation helped make this special treat possible!
And what goes better with coffee than cookies? A big thank-you to our ECA Athletic Boosters, who added a little extra sweetness to the morning by providing complimentary Chick-fil-A cookies for our guests!
These thoughtful gestures are wonderful reflections of the generosity and community spirit that make ECA such a special place.
Celebrating the Heart of our ECA Family
At Emmanuel, our motto, “We Are Family” is more than just a familiar phrase. It’s reflected in all the relationships that connect our students, parents, grandparents, teachers, and staff! Grandparents hold a particularly treasured place in the family with their wisdom, encouragement, prayers and unconditional love that helps shape the next generation.
As our elementary students headed home following the morning’s festivities, we hope they carried with them some wonderful new memories of time spent together.
